Gift Guide for Guys

The Stylish Guy

Eddie and I are both earth signs (Taurus & Capricorn - yep, a stubborn bull and an equally stubborn goat!) - take one look inside our home and you can tell. We love all things planty and wooden, so when I first laid eyes on JORD Wood Watches, I instantly fell in love. They really are works of art! Every piece is special looking and one of a kind. The one I chose for Eddie is the Chronograph in Walnut & Jet Black from the JORD Conway series. I actually gasped when I opened the box - it's even more beautiful in person than it is in pictures! I absolutely love how the earthy walnut wood looks combined with the jet black watch face - so sleek and stylish. Plus, being a chronograph it also functions as a stop watch in addition to a traditional display watch. Perfect for all of Eddie's athletic endeavors.

I also loved the gorgeous wooden box the watch came in - it really makes a beautiful gift I think any guy would be thrilled to receive. I know mine was! Eddie loves that not only is it a super unique and very cool looking watch, it can be worn with just about any outfit - casual or formal.

Added bonus, not only is JORD having a crazy awesome Black Friday Sale, they also have an amazing giveaway going on right now! You can get a free $25 e-gift card automatically just for entering HERE. Doesn't get any easier than that! Meanwhile, I'll be browsing through the JORD women's watches dropping hints for Eddie like there's no tomorrow...

The Comic Book Fan

This is an awesome two for one gift - if the guy on your list loves Star Wars or comics or BOTH then this is the perfect prezzie for them! Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus is a beautiful collection of the original Marvel Comics' Star Wars series from the '80's. There's lots of Star Wars comics out there but Marvel published the very first, so you know it's legit. Being a Star Wars fan myself, it's really cool to see the characters we all know and love from the movies in comic book form.

It's a huge book so it makes a super nice gift - there's over 40 issues in it! I got Eddie Volume 2 since Boba Fett is on the cover and that's one of his favorite characters, but I believe there's 3 volumes total if you want to go all out with your gift giving this year.

The Cool Guy

You really can't go wrong with a pair of Ray Bans. Even if someone already has a pair, who doesn't like to have sunglasses in a few different styles? I love the cool, subtle tortoise frames on Eddie's pair. They're the Justin Classic series - similar to the iconic Wayfarer sunglasses but with slightly larger rectangle lenses and a rubberized frame finish. Perfect for that cool guy on your holiday gift list.

The Music Lover

Music is always a great holiday gift. Whether the guy you're shopping for is an avid record enthusiast or just getting started building his collection, vinyl is a really fun present to receive.

If your guy doesn't have a record player, that's an amazing gift to give as well! I bought our Crosley Turntable for Eddie a couple years ago - I think it's a great starter record player, it's affordable and sounds good when plugged into an external speaker system.

Eddie and I love a lot of the same music, so even though these records (Ty Segall, Wavves, Fleet Foxes, and Modest Mouse) were technically a gift for him, they were pretty much a gift for me as well hahaha woops! Win-win in my book.

The Cocktail Enthusiast

This is my brother's rad bar and as you can tell, he falls under the cocktail enthusiast category. He's always the bartender at every get-together and loves trying out different drinks, so I thought these Mixology Dice would be a fun gift for him. The dice come in a recycled wine bottle tumbler that's cut and polished to perfection. It also includes an instruction booklet that shows you which dice to roll to make different types of traditional drinks, as well as what ratios of ingredients to use, and mixing instructions.

Bartending books also make a super fun gift! The Drunken Botanist and The Curious Bartender are both really gorgeous ones with drink recipes and great history lessons on your favorite cocktails inside. Get the guy on your gift list a bottle or two of his favorite booze combined with these books or mixology dice and you'll get maaaajor brownie points - or at least a couple delicious cocktails as a thank you!
