"Every day should feel this good." vineyard vines motto has become my mantra after the fab adventure I had with them on Catalina Island! In celebration of their new store opening in Westfield Century CityI got to take a lil Catalina day trip that was filled with firsts for me. Keep scrolling to see all the fun!

For those of you who don't know, Catalina Island is one of California's Channel Islands, and lies southwest of Los Angeles. I actually have family that lives on the island and I always love visiting - it's got that amazing small island vibe, so close to LA but feels so far away. The perf lil getaway destination! It's about an hour from Long Beach via the ferry, which is how I've always gotten there - but this time I got to travel via helicopter - my first ever heli ride and I loved it! Only 15 minutes and such an awesome view of the ocean. Not sure I'll ever be able to do that ferry ride again now that I've been so spoiled.

First stop in our adventure on the island and another first for me - zip lining! I've always wanted to zip line and it def didn't disappoint. The Catalina Island Zip Line Eco Tour was so much fun, such an amazing view of the Island and the ocean from up in the hills.

Weeeeeee! Jumping off a platform into the abyss is kinda scary but such a rush. The craziest part though is at the end, when the cable brakes kick in. You're flying so fast, then all of a sudden the brakes catch - there's a loud BANG noise above your head and you get jerked hard and quick to slow down. We did five lines and I was never prepared for those brakes haha left me breathless every time!

After our zip lining adventure we changed out of our sweaty clothes and got to relax at the Descanso Beach Club. Cocktails and yummy food, pretty cabanas, perfect weather, and a gorgeous ocean view. Hello heaven!

Every time I visit Catalina I make it a point to order the famous Descanso Destroyer. It's a Beach Club specialty and it is STRONG! It's so yummy though, and it sneaks up on you real quick. Sailor Jerry, Don Q 151, amaretto, crème de noyaux, orange and pineapple juice - yummmmm.

After we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the beach, we flew back to LA in our helicopter. It was such a perf day! New friends were made and lots of bucket list items were checked off my list. Many thanks to vineyard vines for all the fun :)

Have you ever been to Catalina? What are some of your fave things to do there? Let me know in the comments!
