A Bright & Cheerful Boho Home
My favorite part about this past year entering into the whole blogging world has been the amazing people I've met and new friends I've made. Anita Yokota is one of those people! Not only is she sweet, hilarious, and always so supportive, but she's also crazy talented. Take one look at her boholicious, gorge home and you'll see why.
If you aren't familiar with Anita already, you will be - she was just recently named Domino’s Best New Design Blog and is killing it in everything she does - which is a lot! She's a mama of 3 little girls, an interior designer, and obvi a bad ass blogger. Her site is chock full of design inspo goodness, DIY's, and much more.
I'm obsessed with how Anita does neutrals - everything flows together so beautifully, the colors speak to each other and are so pleasing to the eye. And those pops of green from her plant bbs make my heart sing!
This corner has me shook - it looks totally effortless but I know from experience, creating the perf cozy corner is not easy! Anita has paired all different types of textiles together but they complement each other beautifully - and adding little details like the stacked books, hanging hat, and wicker accents is just the cherry on top.
Since I don't have a dining room myself, I live vicariously through Anita. How amazing is that garland?! She turned it into an actual work of art, picking out stems and florals to place individually onto the garland to achieve the look she wanted. Can you even??
Gimme your bar cart, Anita! I love it so.
The guest room is what dreams are made of - and I got to sleep here! Inspired by a trip out to the desert, she created the loveliest lil desert oasis with this bedroom.
Doesn't get more perf than this. The spanish moss hanging from those branches! That prickly bb shelf! All those airplants on the wall! All. of. it.
Every detail is perfection, down to this lil tillandsia sitting cutely in its throne on the bedside table.
I love how Anita is not afraid to go bold with her design choices. While this fab-u-lous peacock wallpaper in the master bedroom may have scared other people off, Anita took a risk and it paid off times 100. The result is a room that's chic, unique, and puts an instant smile on your face. And that wicker bench at the foot of the bed! Took every fiber of my being not to walk out of her house dragging that gem behind me.
And the award for most fun kids room goes toooo.... Amiright? How lucky are her girls to have this sweet, playful bedroom!
Anita's Ikea hack of that hanging pendent lamp is genius, don't you think? Adds such a cheerful, colorful, playful vibe to the space. Obsessed!
And there you have it! What do you think? Soooo much yummy boho inspo, right? Many thanks to Anita for welcoming me into her beautiful home and letting me snap a million pics of her space.
