Platform
A few things I love: shopping, food, string lights, and cacti. Platform in Culver City has them all. And I'm obsessed! This little outdoor shopping district is not only gorgeously designed, it also has really awesome merchants and pop up shops all located next to the Expo Line's Culver City station. I live right nearby so there's no need for me to jump on the metro, but for those coming from other parts of LA, I can imagine this is crazy convenient! Platform is also still really new, it only just opened last year and they are consistently adding new shops which is very exciting. They just confirmed recently that Reformation will be opening their second LA boutique here soon. Cannot WAIT! Keep reading for a few of my fave parts of this crazy cool shopping center.
Gimme dat coffee! Blue Bottle is popping up all over LA and I'm 100% down with it. One opened on Abbot Kinney in Venice and the one at Platform is very cool. Order your coffee/pastry then head back to the book shelf and grab a book to read- up the stairs is a cute sitting area filled with poufs and mini tables. Or bring your laptop and go to town! You could also sit outside and admire the amazing Floral Art shop next door.
INSIDER TIP: If you end up driving, park in the crazy cool structure with the Technicolor Drip mural by Jen Stark. Take the elevator all the way up to the top for awesome LA views, including the Downtown city skyline!
Sweetgreen just opened recently and although I haven't tried it yet, I've heard great things. I need to get on that ASAP!
Loqui is a must visit for delish Mexican food. I love their chicken tacos & chips/guac! Soooo yummy, can't get enough.
Some of the shops here include Aesop, Poketo, The Shop, and more. An awesome new nail salon called Tenoverten just opened and all their polishes are 8-free, cruelty free, and vegan. Yaaaaaas!
Check out The Cannibal for a good meal and drinks. My friends and I usually order a bunch of things for the table to share which is always a fun time. I love ordering that way because then I get to try a little of everything! Some fave drinks of mine include The Samitaur and the Honey Basil Sling. Perrrrrrfection.
