How to Refresh 4-Day Hair
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Waterl<ss. All opinions are 100% mine.
As you know, I’m a big fan of slow mornings. My routine consists of brewing coffee or tea, enjoying breakfast, and listening to music while I catch up on the news. Then I take a shower and get ready for my day! There are certain mornings however, where taking it slow is just not possible. I’m lucky if I have enough time to throw on an actual outfit before running out the door! One of these mornings took place recently - my friends had taken me out for birthday drinks the night before, so I woke up later than usual. I had a workshop in Venice on the calendar and absolutely no time for coffee or breakfast beforehand, let alone a shower! Problem was, I was on 4-day hair - we’ve all been there, right? I still wanted to look presentable at the workshop but only had a few minutes to spare.
My hair type is fine, dry, and color treated. Since I’ve gone lighter with it this year, I’ve found it gets even dryer than usual, and frizzes easily.
The Waterl<ss story is pretty amazing. The brand started with a small team of scientists who were looking to improve the non-wash day experience for all different hair types. As the product technology was ready, a crisis in Cape Town, South Africa occurred. In January 2018, the city announced it was 3 months away from running out of water for their city of four million. With a need for products to enable greater stretches between wash days, Waterl<ss provided the people of Cape Town with an easy option when they had no choice but to not wash their hair.
A lot of dry shampoos I’ve used in the past spray heavy white residues that leave the top of my head looking dusty and grey. That hasn’t been my experience with Waterl<ss. There’s no noticeable residue, just an invisible spray that cleans and refreshes. I spray it on my roots and then massage it in a bit to absorb the oil.
Next, I reach for the dry conditioner and spray it from mid-shaft to ends. It smells gorge and instantly brings my strands back to life! I like to run my fingers through to evenly distribute the product for soft, smooth locks - I’m always amazed at how big of a difference it makes!
I love how the conditioner is totally buildable - it’s weightless, so l spray it throughout the day, whenever I need a quick pick-me-up.
So now you know my non-wash day hair secret! How long do you usually go in between washes? I average 2 or 3, but every now and then I push it to the limit - ha! Big thanks to Waterl<ss for making that possible :) To find out more about Waterl<ss products check out the new website or find them in stores at Target, Sally Beauty, Walmart and CVS.
