I don’t know about you, but the design of an Airbnb is one of the first things I look at when deciding where to stay.

This time each year I find myself craving a cabin escape, somewhere away from Los Angeles, surrounded by trees.

Tucked away above coastal bluffs on the Palos Verdes Peninsula you’ll find one of Los Angeles’s hidden gems - the stunning Terranea Resort. Eddie and I had the pleasure of a lil staycation weekend at this slice of heaven, and we fell in love hard. From the drool-worthy restaurants, the beautiful landscaping, and oh those ocean views - we felt so lucky to be able to experience such a magical place together. Up until last month, I had never even heard of Borrego Springs. I was chatting with a friend about how I wanted to go on a lil getaway to a California city I'd never been before, when he mentioned this darling desert town. Just a 3 hour drive from LA and surrounded by the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, it was just the change of scenery Eddie and I were looking for. With a population of under 4,000 people, this small town has no big chains and is California's first Dark Sky Community, which means it's dedicated to protecting the night sky from light pollution. Star gazer heaven! While we did a lot of relaxing at our amazing hotel, we also ventured out to explore our surroundings. Come take a look at some of our adventures!
