Rancho Palos Verdes Cliffs

rancho palos verdes

It's hard to believe the magical Point Vicente Lighthouse in Rancho Palos Verdes is only a 30 minute drive from where we live - the cliffs make me feel like I'm back on the east coast, somewhere in New England during a summer vacation. Just the fact that Rancho Palos Verdes is in LA County is kinda mind boggling! It feels so different from the hustle and bustle of the LA districts we frequent the most. Everything seems a bit more spread out, calm, and peaceful. That's one of the reasons I love Los Angeles, each part of the city is so different from the next. You could go surfing, mountain biking, and skiing all in the same day if you felt like it!

How dreamy are these views?! It's a beautiful place for a walk, as there's a pathway that follows the water right on the cliff's edge. My new fave dress by Lucy Paris had me feeling like I was in a movie as Eddie and I strolled along. The Point Vicente Interpretive Center, a natural history museum located right on the cliffs, is also an amazing whale-watching spot. Bring your binoculars and hang out on the viewing deck for a front row seat of the action!

As we were driving home, we stopped at the side of the road for another amazing view of Rancho Palos Verdes from the top of a hill. Isn't that view to die for? Just gorgeous!
