Chasing Waterfalls

So I am definitely, 100%, without a doubt, NOT athletically inclined. I hate working out and couldn't care less about most sports. The only sneakers I own are over a decade old and have hardly been worn. The closest I come to exercising is the occasional bike ride and some hardcore walking up and down Abbot Kinney Blvd while I shop - LOL. Yes, I'm definitely a lazy ass sloth. But every now and then Eddie convinces me to do a hike with him, as much as it pains me. After too many trails that killed my soul by how long and steep they were, in addition to getting lost in a New York forest during a storm after accidentally veering off the trail and having to call a park ranger to help get us out, (no joke this was TERRIFYING!!) I think it's safe to say my views on hiking are NOT positive. However, I'm a dang sucker for a waterfall. And once I saw the stats on this Eaton Canyon Trail, I was fairly confident I could handle it. So I threw on my spirit animal slothy tank, laced up my decade old sneaks (may be time to upgrade eh?), and off we went.

And this trail did not disappoint! Super chill and relatively easy the entire way. I actually, dare I say it, ENJOYED the hike. Cray, I know. But the scenery was so gorgeous and there were little to no inclines, so it really just felt like a lovely walk in the woods. Plus, it's right in Los Angeles! No need to drive hours to reach it, Eaton Canyon is right next to Pasadena in the San Gabriel Mountains. I definitely would recommend it to any Angelinos in need of a change of scenery.

You know what else is kinda cray? This water actually felt ahhhhmazing. I'm a big cold water scaredy cat, it takes me forever to inch into swimming pools and I won't get near the ocean if it's ice cold - but this waterfall felt heavenly!

Do you have a fave SoCal trail? I'd love to hear about any other hikes in the LA region that are relatively easy and enjoyable like this one was. Let me know in the comments!
