The Best Plant Shops in Los Angeles

It's officially summer and I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get my hands on some new plant bbs! You can never have too many, right? There's something so fun and exciting about going greenery shopping. Sometimes you go in with a particular plant in mind, but my favorite is when you enter a nursery just looking to browse, and then you spot that perfect bb you just have to take home with you. I've rounded up a few of my fave places to adopt planties in Los Angeles, in case you've been looking for new places to check out.

Rolling Greens

If you're looking for an amazingly wide selection of plant species as well as gorgeous home furnishings and inspiring displays, Rolling Greens is your one stop shop. Nestled on top of a hill in Culver City, you can browse their beautiful outdoor gardens with a breathtaking view of the city. I love getting wonderfully lost browsing around here - this place is huge! With over 2 acres, the grounds include eight greenhouses that cover four terraced levels. There's an arrangement bar and even a large room dedicated to just artificial greenery if that's more your style - they look VERY convincing!

Marina Del Rey Garden Center

I love coming to the Marina del Rey Garden Center because in addition to having a great selection of plants, their certified nursery professionals are always so friendly and helpful! They've potted plants for me free of charge, are always available when I have a questions about caring for a certain plant, and even help carry my new green bbs to the car. Talk about excellent service! I'm also in love with their pot selection, so if you're plant-pot-obsessed like I am, you'll be in heaven here. Such beautiful colors and all different sizes and styles! Yes PLZ.

VENICE PLANTS

This hidden gem may not be as large as the other shops on this list, but it packs a big punch in a small space. If you're looking to create an indoor jungle in your home, look no further than Venice Plants. I just love how lush and green it is inside! With a large selection of tropical and hanging plants, you'll find palms, monsteras, fiddle leaf figs, and loads more sold here. They also have a fab cactus selection, all beautifully potted and ready to go. You can't go wrong!

Big Red Sun

Part dreamy boho boutique, part nursery/garden shop, and even landscape design HQ, Big Red Sun is one you definitely will want to check out. Incredibly inspiring, the shop is located in a beautiful blue house literally dripping with succulents. It's ultimate #homegoals ! Inside the shop you'll find wonderfully curated gifts, home decor, books, and all sorts of pretty planty accessories. Venture outside onto the deck for perfectly potted succulent arrangements ready to take home or gift to a loved one, then walk out into the "backyard" for lots more green goodness.

For my non-Angelenos, I also love the garden sections of good ol' Home Depot and Lowe's, especially when they're having a plant sale - you can find some real goodies for cheap. Believe it or not, I've also gotten lots of plants at IKEA! My two majesty palms were bought during a shopping spree at IKEA years ago and they're still alive and thriving today.

Where's your fave place to buy plants? I'm always on the lookout for new shops and nurseries, I'd love any tips you may have. Let me know in the comments!
