Cabo San Lucas Getaway
My first real trip to Mexico, and it was magic. I’ve been wanting to visit Cabo for years - beautiful weather, stunning beaches, and gorge resorts? Sign. me. up. So when the Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa invited me to come stay, I pinched myself a few hundred times and then immediately jumped at the chance.
Cabo is only a 2 hour flight from Los Angeles, which makes it an amaze getaway destination. The evening I arrived I was greeted to a breathtaking sunset dinner at Los Riscos, one of the resort’s restaurants on the cliffs overlooking the sea. A delicious meal as the sun set with these views is something I’ll never forget. It felt so special!
The next morning I woke up and took full advantage of room service, enjoying a yummy breakfast on my balcony. This view made me so happy!
Afterwards I explored the resort a bit - every corner is so photogenic. Loved these guest room doorways and the hallways filled with plants.
I fell in love hard with Lola Mia, the absolutely gorge coffee shop at the resort. I was told it’s brand new too, having just opened a few weeks before I arrived. That blue floor tile! The rattan chairs! The ceiling and pendant lights! Be still my heart.
I really felt like I was in paradise here. A view of the ocean is never far off, with palm trees, cactus, and blooms everywhere you look.
One of my fave experiences was the BBQ and Tequila Tasting at The Residences, a section of private villas and suites available for rent at the resort. I learned so much about tequila that I didn’t know before. Like for instance, you should always choose a tequila that is made from 100% agave. Anything less is usually made with artificial additives like sugar syrup, caramel coloring, etc. and can give you a real nasty hangover. We also learned how to make the perfect bowl of guacamole in a molcajete, a mortar and pestle carved from volcanic rock.
Feelin’ good after that tequila! After lunch I made my way to the spa for a massage, and was super blissed out by evening. Dinner was enjoyed at one of the private villas here in The Residences - the pool sitch below made me gasp! So stunning isn’t it?
The next morning I woke up early and enjoyed breakfast at Las Marias. A fabulous buffet on the Baja cliffs overlooking the water? Don’t mind if I do! Fresh green juice and an assortment of colorful fruits, french toast, brekky potatoes, and yogurt with granola, music playing and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks. Heavenly.
All the pools at the resort are stunning, but this one right on the ocean had me starry eyed. These views! You can even enjoy a massage right on the beach.
On my last day I visited Hacienda Encantada’s sister resort Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa. Another beautiful property, located right in the Marina Golden Zone.
Yummy drinks at Sky Bar, Marina Fiesta’s rooftop sitch with a magnificent view of the boats below. Afterwards was dinner at Los Deseos next door to the resort. Such delish Mexican cuisine, it was the perf way to end the trip.
Thank you to Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa for hosting my trip. All opinions are my own - as always!
